Room, room for a blade of the town

That takes delight in roaring,

And daily rambles up and down,

And at night in the street lies snoring:

5

That for the noble name of Spark

Dares his companions rally;

Commits an outrage in the dark,

Then slinks into an alley.

To every female that he meets

10

He swears he bears affection,

Defies all laws, arrests, and 'cheats,

By the help of a kind protection.

Then he, intending further wrongs,

By some resenting cully

15

Is decently run through the lungs,

And there's an end of bully.
